Step 1 - Analysis

Footpro 'state-of-the-art'  AMcube foot pressure mapping and Templo video imaging software enables our technicians to build a picture of how your foot performs dynamically during your sport or activity.

This provides us with the information necessary to build your custom insole (Orthotic) and identify the right footwear for your needs. We will also be able to provide advice to help you improve the dynamic function of your feet. (Stretching certain muscle groups, building strength where it is required or provide accurate information for your Physio, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Personal trainer etc.)

Video Gait Analysis
You are videoed while running or walking on a treadmill, with and without shoes.  The view through the camera is positioned to observe hip and knee motion as well as foot and ankle.   These images are then synchronised on the monitor and played back to you frame-by-frame to demonstrate how your feet behave and how your shoes affect that behaviour.

Foot Scanning
A highly sensitive mat records 'pressure distribution' and 'foot motion' whilst your foot is in contact with the ground. The results will indicate what foot type you have, (low, medium, or high-arch, supination and pronation etc). How this information is interpreted sets us apart from the rest. Understanding how your foot performs dynamically will ensure the best fitting shoe and custom insole perform specifically for your sport.

The analysis can highlight biomechanical deficiencies that often result in injury, the combination of correct footwear and custom insole can reduce the chance of these injuries. Footpro works in partnership with sport trainers, physiotherapists and other medical professionals to provide you with the best possible chance of reaching your goals with comfort and confidence.

Interpreting Your Results
Finally, you are videoed running on the treadmill with your new custom fitted shoes. This is played back along side your original footwear to ensure they are functioning perfectly and to demonstrate the difference.

Ski boot fitting foot and posture analysis

Foot pressure - Postural and stance analysis: examination of foot shape, basic biomechanics plus state of the art pressure mapping of your feet to indentify support issues.

Your ski boot technician will examine your bio-mechanical make-up, plus discuss other sports activities you pursue and previous injuries affecting your personal make-up and movement.

Utilising state of the art computer mapping of pressure from under your feet snap shots will be taken in various positions to provide insights into your weight distribution and areas needing support under your foot. During this step, postural alignment will also be reviewed. The anatomical structure of your feet will also be examined to best select the right boots for your personal shape.

This process focuses on the shape of heel width, ankle width and volume, forefoot width, instep/arch height, calf size plus general mobility and flexibility through the foot, ankle and calf. Movements under flexion will be examined to determine whether you pronate, supinate or remain neutral.
